This agreement is what propped up the U.S. dollar as the world reserve currency since Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard in 1971. The agreement with S.A. is what started what is known as the “Petro” dollar which was an agreement that the U.S. would provide military protection to S.A. in exchange for using the U.S. dollar as the only currency that would be used to sell their oil (which includes all OPEC countries). This agreement looks like it will come to an end with the BRICS expansion and the possibility of a new currency (backed by gold among other possible assets) being implemented. This is why there’s so much conversation about the summit in relation to crypto currencies.

Alexander makes a good point that the evidence is circumstancial but there is enough to warrant an investigation. The war on Trump with all of the accusations, impeachments… was done on far less and of course we now know about the fake Steele Dossier. Where is the military intervention? Towards the end of this pod, Alexander makes some very shocking remards about Hunter Biden’s laptop and some of the content that has been found on it. He said that some of the images a extremely shocking to the point where even the most liberal mided people would likely turn their backs on the Democratic party of propping up such a POS (i.e. the dad… ).

While typing this I started to think about using logical statement and facts to build a case for correct thinking. In other words finding creative ways of re-alligning one’s thinking. So, if you are confronted with someone who is raidically sold on their beliefs (i.e. through cognitive dissonance and severe confirmation bias), how do you walk them into completely agreeing with something that they initially and strongly disagreed with by simply making statements that are essentially indisputable. For example: 1. do you like being told what to do? 2. do you like being controlled by others? 3. do you like being able to say what you want? 4. do you really believe that all humans are equal and have the right to freedom… This line of questioning would have to evolve or progress to a next level relevance based on the subject at hand (i.e. something you happen to be talking about in the moment). One of the biggest challenges in trying to get someone in line with your thinking is with the discussion about fake news or misinformation. Most ppl would argue that you are quoting bad sources and that their sources are much more credible than yours. A common example of this is when someone does a Google search on something or someone you are referrencing and immediately gets fact checking websites at the top of their search results. You need to come with creative ways to counter this. This is a huge challenge.

So here’s the kicker (from the author’s point of view).” It sounds like NPR can do just fine without taxpayer funding. Why are these big news corporations investing so much in fact checking and misinformation to go after independent news sources? If they were so confident in their messaging and its accuracy they wouldn't give these other groups the time of day. But, they feel extremely threatened by them. Is it because independent sources are more honest and perhaps more truthful which, in turn, undermines the messaging of large media outlets? They’ve almost revealed their hand (re: their own misinformation) by clamping so hard and so fast against independent media. She is probably hitting the nail right on the head. Another excellent point: There is NO ABSOLUTE TRUTH. The best thing to do is to at least challenge the narrative by pointing out flaws or inaccuracies. Don’t try to push your views as the absolute truth. I think I do a good job of this throughout the Truther’s Portal.
